What Are You Reading This Autumn?

I really need to catch up with my reading list this Winter. Having got round to finishing ‘Writers and Lovers’ the other day, I still have lots of books that are midway through. Here is a short update to my current reading.

Exciting Times

I have returned to reading ‘Exciting Times’ by Naoise Dolan, which was easy to pick up again and is quite fun. It’s an intelligent book about an Irish woman who moves to Hong Kong where she teaches English as a foreign language.

With a business guy she is seeing, but not dating, she is living a sarcastic life of double meaning and uncertainty. This story is intriguing and has short chapters so I am sure I will report back on it very soon.

Will Grayson, Will Grayson

I am enjoying this humorous YA novel by John Green and David Levithan. These two brilliant writers have put together a tongue-in-cheek story of two guys who happen to share the same name.

This fun story is already entertaining and intriguing so long as you don’t try to take it too seriously. Following their lives, told in alternating first person chapters, you will find it hard not to smirk.

I need to finish these two books before I can carry on with my reading list. Hopefully I will be back with some useful reviews quite soon. What books are you currently midway through?

  1. I remember reading Will Grayson, Will Grayson a few years ago and it was so good. I think it’s one of my favourite books/YA novels.
