Cycling makes you happy!

Today was my second ride around a beautiful reservoir with my wonderful friend Jo. This time I went to Grafham Water to enjoy the ups and downs of its bumpy track which circles it for eleven miles.

Riding through woodlands flourishing with bluebells, it was refreshing to freewheel down the hills after climbing them on a hired bike. The wind was in our faces and we faced mushy mud paths as we splashed our way forwards. Our trousers were splattered and our hair crushed under our helmets, but our spirits were high as we rested at the Harbour Cafe for a well earned Mince Beef Pasty and Treacle Tart.

I just had time for a short blog post today but am happy to show the beautiful scenery which did not seem dampened by the miserable weather.

Where do you like to go to let off steam?
