Last week I went on my very first cruise holiday with P and O. I had wanted to go on one ever since I saw Jane McDonald’s cruise show on channel five. I will be talking about this over the next few posts.
Let’s start with the facilities onboard a cruise ship. OMG! They are incredible!
I was lucky enough to have a suite and so had my own butler and balcony. I was able to look out of my cabin and see where we had been, reflecting on the fond memories I was building at every stop.
There was a casino, a theatre, a gallery and many restaurants (included in the price and some that were at extra cost – but worth a little extra!). I made full use of the gym and sauna and steam room as well as jacuzzi. All of the people who worked on the boat were happy and helpful, clearly enjoying life on this brilliant vessel.
Off we sailed on our way to the Norwegian Fjords…
