Counting down

To Christmas Day,

A chance to rest

And laugh and play.

Giving presents

Receiving too.

Sipping fizz,

Just one or two.

Crackers popping,

Wrapping torn,

Pudding with custard,

Paper hats worn.

Make the most of it,

Enjoy a family meal.

Watch plenty of telly,

Make memories for real.
