Check out my storm poem about the recent bad weather.
When the wind blows,
And the skies are dark.
In the icy air,
A storm begins to spark.
Trees are swaying,
Dustbins turned over,
The devastation is shocking.
Storm Eunice is here,
Loudly making its way,
Across the country,
Unhinging the day.
But why are storms more likely?
Why do they strike so much?
Let’s face it – global warming
Is the reason as such.
So if you don’t want this to happen
Increasing every season,
Push governments to change things
And reduce pollution – because that’s the reason.

Great poem. I like the idea of the storm unhinging the country.
Sadly it is true though isn’t it? All the news has been about today is this.
Beautifully written about such an important topic. Thank you for sharing Jamie!
Thank you for saying that.
It’s really so true. Climate change is causing a lot of extreme weather. I’ve seen so much of it where I am in British Columbia this year.
Yes it is everywhere. Thanks for commenting.
Wow such a great poem, and about an important topic!
