I found this poster very informative and a great way to show some of the environmental impacts of Halloween. It has also included some quick fixes and ways of reducing the environmental load.
Some days everything goes wrong,
From the moment you open your eyes,
Like when you run out of toothpaste,
Or adequate toilet roll supplies.
When the traffic is thick and polluting,
And you sit waiting for a red light to change,
Or you casually spill all your dinner,
On your favourite shirt, ‘Oh my days!’
At work nothing even works properly,
The photocopier is jammed and explodes,
You realise your pants are on inside out,
And the problems just pile on in loads.
You get home from work feeling tired,
And find you’ve got nothing for tea,
Maybe you also have days like this,
Or perhaps it just happens to me!
October me likes conkers,
The leaves turn brown and red,
October me likes duvets,
And laying longer in my bed.
October me is happiest,
When wrapped up warm and snug,
October me spend lots of time,
Avoiding all kinds of bug.
With vitamins and hot tea,
You’ll find October me.
All snug in front of TV shows,
Through October, that’s where I’ll be.
I wonder what you’re doing,
Where is October you?
I bet you love the cold as well,
A time for roasts and stew.
