Everyone is talking about Halloween coming and in the USA people really go for it big time. However, in the UK it isn’t promoted quite so much. Let’s change that now. Below are some affordable Halloween items that could add some much needed Spookiness to proceedings.

Reusable Halloween Bags

If you want to create bags of fun and treats for your kids, then these reusable bags are a good investment. They can be used again and again for shopping trips, days out and even future Halloweens. Waste not, want not.

Spooky Sweets

Trick or Treat is much less fun without sweets. You can give out healthy snacks but where’s the fun in that? Try some spooky treats like the ones below.

Decorations

Spook up your house this season.

I really like my windows to be dressed somehow and stickers always add some seasonal spirit without too much effort. They also come off easily when Halloween or Christmas is over. Here are some great decorations to consider.

Spiders

No Halloween is complete without some scary spiders. Spiders freak me out at the best of times so I am happy to celebrate these spooky creatures once a year. Here is a bunch of 24 spiders you can buy and place strategically around the house to give your relatives some unexpected frights.

I am enjoying Blogtober and hope you are too. If you are in the Halloween spirit then these items may well appeal to you. If you enjoy my blog posts please consider following the blog and making my day.

October Me

Time moves on. Halloween beckons.

October me likes conkers,

The leaves turn brown and red,

October me likes duvets,

And laying longer in my bed.

October me is happiest,

When wrapped up warm and snug,

October me spend lots of time,

Avoiding all kinds of bug.

With vitamins and hot tea,

You’ll find October me.

All snug in front of TV shows,

Through October, that’s where I’ll be.

I wonder what you’re doing,

Where is October you?

I bet you love the cold as well,

A time for roasts and stew.

New Seasonal Thoughts

As a new season and term begins,

Stormy skies replace a summer breeze.

Heatwaves end and coldness looms,

Changing trees shed colourful leaves.

People sip hot drinks in mugs,

Put on scarves and wear coats outside,

Work becomes busy and time passes by,

From the wind and rain you cannot hide.

Nights grow longer, days grow short,

Roast dinners on Sundays are cooked once more.

Families snuggle in front of fires,

Prepared for what winter might have in store.
