Sunday Thinking

Sunday strolls can let you catch your breath.

Sunday arrives with optimistic skies,

Bright and breezy, clean and sweet.

Sunday is full of fun and laughs,

Running, jumping, skipping feet.

Food is roasted in the afternoon,

Cake is eaten and tea is brewed,

Lots of chatter, family time,

Puts us in a settled mood.

Feels like home.

Sadly as the night draws in,

Movies watched and people smile,

That Monday feeling looms within,

We put to one side, just for a while.

As the new week beckons then,

Prep for work and clothes to wash,

Sleeping is a troublesome game,

Now it’s Monday. Oh My Gosh!
