Olympic Dreams

They overcome so many hurdles just to get a chance in Tokyo.

Swimming with power,

Gliding to success,

Rowing with vision,

No time for distress.

Swinging on bars,

With swagger and technique,

These wonderful athletes,

Are all at their peak.

Runners pushing on,

Cyclists ignoring flat tyres,

These show persistance,

And strive for desires.

Now for the track work,

Relays, throws and hurdles,

When I see them take risks,

My blood nearly curdles.

Olympians have passion,

And speed and resilience.

Let’s cheer them along,

And then celebrate their brilliance.

  1. This is so cool! As it was a rhyming poem, I though to myself, nothing rhymes with flat tires?? But you made it work. Brilliant 😀

  2. Such a cool poem. Currently I have been watching handball. Such a cool sport
