So yesterday I took the tram all the way to neighbouring Fleetwood where there is a quaint little town square right next to the sea. It has a small ferry terminal and a lovely garden park, with a wide beach covered mainly in sand and pebbles.

I followed this with a great evening meal in the local Grosvenor Casino, which was large and spacious. The food was brilliant and we felt comfortable eating steaks.

The Key Lime Pie was lush and went well with a Jack Daniels and Coke.
This week I am writing about my brief holiday in Blackpool but next week I shall return to reviewing books.
